Genre: Documentary
Duration: 90min
Format: HD Video
Final format: 35mm
The documentary will be filmed with the highest HD quality, to be transferred to 35mm, with an approximate duration of 90 minutes.
Ivan Espejo, Director of Photography with over 30 years of experience in films, has been in charge of the documentary's "look", and along with Jose Ernesto Martinez, Executive Producer with a long cinematographic trajectory, have managed, through a particular camera treatment, an impeccable image.
Directed by Mariella Perez Perez, and now with Associate Partners as "On Air Promotions", "Upstairs EFX" and "Butemix Audio Incorporated", post-production companies located in Miami, the completion of the documentary will be in the highest quality, and will be theatrically released with the possibility to participate in Type A festivals all over world.
So far, some of the interviewees are well known in Venezuelan Television. There are others less known that participated actively in Renny Ottolina's life, either on radio, politics or simply in his personal life. Some of them are:
Carlos Alarico Gomez, author of the book "Renny Ottolina"; Orlando Daza, his Production Coordinator; Facundo Cabral, who with his own words said that his career in Venezuela is to Renny Ottolina; Oswaldo Yepes, major businessman in Venezuelan Radio; Guillermo Gonzalez, Toco Gomez, Diony Lopez, Carmen Victoria Perez, Carlos Morean, Mirna Rios, Mirla Castellanos, Luis Chataing, Henry Stephen, Rudy Marquez, Rachel Brown, Maria de Lourdes Devonish, Chuchito Sanoja, among others in the audiovisual industry; important businessmen as Gonzalo Fernández de Córdova, Fernan Frias, Parsifal D'Sola, Fima Ruchman; and most of the technical crew, choreographic and acting team that participated in his television programs, his daughters and grandchildren (perhaps in their first public appearance after many years).
The audiovisual diversity will give a very particular "look" to the documentary. The archive footage will always be black and white (due to its date), and the interviews will be presented in color always with different texture and quality. A mix of formats will provide even greater visual richness: digital video, film footage (archive) and TV programs footage (archive). The sound mix will also be very important, because Renny's characteristic whistle will be the leitmotif throughout the entire program.
The intention of this documentary is to be screened in theaters all over the country and to participate in all Type A international film festivals, to get all the recognition that such important character deserves.
